I grew up playing classical piano music while simultaneously listening to a variety of contemporary music like Bob Marley, Nirvana, Britney Spears and more. I’ve always had a love for many different sounds since I was a kid, and I think my upbringing with music shows in the paths I took in my music career!
In the classical piano sphere I have won a number of international piano competitions, such as American Protegé, Forte and Bradshaw & Biono: and I have performed at Carnegie Hall over 20 times.
As I grew into my teens, I began playing in various rock and rnb bands. At the USC Thornton School of Music, I studied Popular Music, Jazz and Music Production under Patrice Rushen, Paul Jackson Jr., Sean Holt, Rick Schmunk and many other wonderful and accomplished professors. During this time I also studied classical composition, experimental music, screen scoring, arranging, music production and songwriting.
Just like when I was a kid, listening to a variety of different music, I enjoy creating and performing a wide variety of music as well. From contemporary trap rnb, alternative rock, jazz, pop and experimental. This partly stems from growing up in the Brooklyn underground music scene, attending free jazz and punk shows since I was about 16. Through my love of both pop and alternative music, I want to be able to serve whatever project I’m working on with a wide range of influences and creative ideas.
